The information is provided for educational purposes only.

Nothing on the Site is legal advice, and nothing on the Site should be relied on as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. References to agencies, courts, statutes, rules, decisions and forms are for identification and education only. Official information is available from the USPTO at uspto.gov.

Accuracy, Currency and Completeness

Statutes, regulations, USPTO guidance, PTAB procedures and case law change, sometimes without notice and sometimes with retroactive effect. Although we prepare content carefully and cite primary sources, we do not warrant that any content is accurate, complete or current. In particular:

  • Decision notes summarize PTAB and court decisions for educational purposes. A summary is not a substitute for the decision itself. Precedential and informative designations can be added, changed or withdrawn.
